Till Sam was caught peddling the notorious contraband, “Hillbilly Heroin” in 2010 winter, he was more known for his Smallville role of Pete Ross, one of Clark’s best friends.

Going back to his character from the Smallville episodes, Pete was the first one, Clark could confide in, he knew all his secrets and fell for Chloe, faster than everybody else on the show.

2010 turned a fateful year for the actor, who was sentenced to a year’s sentence for his association with a huge drug racket, and for trying to peddle over 10,000 Oxycodone pills.

His sentence came in 2011, and was followed by a three-year long probation period after he served the sentence.

The judge admitted that the prosecution wanted him in for five whole years, which would not only have destroyed his career, but would have also tired his soul inside out.

While his arrest took place, the police and all the federal agencies working behind his tip believed the catch to be a big one, and as Hollywood’s prime connection to the world of narcotics.

I mean, Sam was better known as the ‘Hollywood Connection’ amongst his dark acquaintances.

Though his career graph might have taken a sad turn, I completely believe that whatever has happened has been for the better of Sam.

See, there’s a reason. Sam was peddling whatever only after he was himself chemically dependent. So, it just could not continue like this you know, there had to be an end to it. Sad, that the end brought splashed a bit of mud on his career, but I guess the world today is mature enough to comprehend and support deviations like these.

Sam is in the low-security Lompoc correctional facility and will be able to breathe free only on October 12, 2012. We have faith, and we believe the talented will attain sanity soon.

Actors from the cast of the epic TV series, Smallville, have moved on with better things in life, but I’m sure that like Tom Welling, each and every member of the cast remains indebted to the show in some way or the other.

Even today, Tom Welling is grateful to his co-stars who featured with him on the Smallville episodes, for teaching him a lot of things that helped him find a new meaning to his existence in the industry.

In a recent interview, Tom Welling came up with names of five actors, who have left a profound impact on his life post-Smallville.

First is John Glover, the actor who played Lionel Luther. According to Welling, it was highly interesting to see this actor at work, as he was always there, ready after a lot of homework on his part.

Second is Michael Rosenbaum, the actor who played Lex Luthor in the series. Michael, as revealed by Welling, was the dynamic performer with comic sensibilities that only a handful is blessed with in Hollywood. He was the one who had taught Welling what not to do, apart from the necessary to-dos in the industry.

In third and fourth position are actors, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider, who played Martha and Jonathan Kent on the show. They both were kind of real-life mentors to Welling, and taught him to deliver in challenging situations that needs one to tactfully handle fame and stress.

And the fifth in this list is actor Christopher Reeve, the silver screen Superman. Though Reeve passed away in 2004, he still occupies a special place in Welling’s heart, and rightly so.

Television buffs, who have been lucky enough to watch Smallville online, must be aware of all the magic that Erica Durance brought to the show, playing Lois Lane, Chloe’s cousin, who had come to Smallville to investigate her sister’s death.

Can you believe this? Wonder Woman is returning as a character on NBC’s Harry’s Law. She plays the role of a mentally unstable woman, who brings disaster on people that engage in domestic abuse.

She’s going to appear in the 11th episode of the show’s fourth season. Harry’s Law’s creator Kelley had to alter the entire plot. Now the plot has been altered in a way that Wonder Woman fits into it, perfectly. Erica Durance is on a roll once again, and we hope she carries it out with the same amount of justice that she lent to her roles of the past.

Since Smallville wrapped up, the actress had kept herself busy with the lead role in the Canadian medical series, Saving Hope, and other relatively minor projects like her twin role in an indie film shot in Italy, and ABC’s Charlie Angels.

As an ardent fan of Smallville, I personally feel that a fan of this epic series, no matter how fancy and how fresh, would never miss out on the character of Lex Luthor.

The actor, who portrayed the role with sheer brilliance, is none other than Michael Rosenbaum – a graduate from Castle high School’s 1990 batch.

Michael Rosenbaum couldn’t quite cut off high school from his life till date, as he continues to use his celebrity status to support the school in some way or the other.

His role as Lex Luthor earned him accolades from all over and pushed him into the lap of fame.

I’m sure people from his school have had the opportunity to avail a Smallville download, and Michael must be like a role model for his young friends, back at Castle High.

Michael was present at a memorial ceremony, comprising a football match, amidst which, the actor was honored with hockey jerseys and gifts, to show appreciation for his work on and behind the screen.

It was here that the actor revealed something really significant – he was getting ready to direct and act in a movie, which will also be written by him.

According to Michael, the film will help him enter the best days of his life – his childhood in Indiana.

The film, which will mostly be shot in the pristine locales of Newburgh and Evansville, will enable Rosenbaum to show the world, the flavor of growing up in Indiana. These are the early years of his life, which still act as the base of his existence and are the pillars of his present identity.

The movie will be happening soon, as the actor is just done with the shoot schedules of a movie, which is due for release this spring.

Now that’s something to watch out for folks – a kid growing up in Indiana (when we know it’s Michael somewhere) – trust me, it’s simply irresistible!

She is one actor, who is not a victim of personal stereotyping, stuck in some specific genre. She likes to explore her options, and widen her horizons based on those available options.

This time, she has experimented with her skills and talent. She has taken a wise decision to appear as CIA agent Samantha Masters in the upcoming installment of Charlie’s Angles. Apart from giving a major contribution as an investigator, she will harbor romantic feelings for Bosley.

The actor dished out about her character’s relationship with this man in detail. She shares that sexual tension can be sensed in this relationship. The internal strife between the two intensifies to a level that both of them don’t want to see each other’s face!

The diva also unraveled that she will team up with the Angels in their upcoming venture, and unlike Smallville, she doesn’t need any comic hero or macho man to support and save her.

Good girl, she took a lot of time in understanding the same!

And when the final confrontation arrived, the scene’s impact was comparable to a young Anakin Skywalker completing his transformation into the Darth Vader.

Over the seasons, the budding friendship between Lana and Clark came to an abrupt end, and in stepped the beautiful reporter, Lois Lane, thereby bringing the legendary love affair between Lana and Clark to its grand closure in Smallville.

The life and times of the Superman, from a small child from planet Krypton to his foreseen destiny as the supreme protector of planet Earth and its residents, forms the crux of this highly successful show called Smallville.

It retells the journey that Kal-El, the son of a Kryptonian resident, Jor-El and his wife Lara-El, embarked upon when he had to flee from the destruction of his home planet at the hands of his evil, egomaniac of an uncle.

Over the course of ten epic seasons, Clark Kent moves from being an unsuspecting teenager living in Smallville, to using superpowers under the guise of a superhero called The Blur, to falling in love with the beautiful reporter, Lois Lane.

But as Clark’s story moves on, Smallville also tells the story of the man, who would go on to become Superman’s biggest nemesis, Lex Luthor.

Between Luthor’s plans at world hegemony and Clark’s morals, in the successive Smallville episode, an epic battle will ensue and will determine the future of the planet!
